Big boy

Well Taylor's a big boy now. We took his front rail off his convertible crib, making it a toddler bed. It's a little early for us to take the rail off, but he seems so miserable in his crib, and if he's awake he just won't go in it without a fight. So we decided to try taking the rail off to see if he would be more willing to go to bed. So far so good. He actually goes over to his bed and climbs in and plays with his crib dolls (mickey and pooh bear) and snuggles with them and just hangs out. It's very cute.

Well obviously we've been busy busy

We've been super busy and not able to post. First off. Taylor started walking a few days after his birthday. Since then we've been endlessly chasing after him. He really moves!

He started his first day in the level two of his daycare/play school at the end of September and every day is learning about letters, numbers and colors. He's having so much fun, and is picking words up like a sponge now. He may still be talking gibberish, but if you ask him he's gotten good at identifying, from his head and his nose to the ball and his shoes.

One Year and more!

So clearly I've been slacking lately.  Taylor's been growing leaps and bounds, and it's soooo amazing, but with work and other chaos it's been hard to keep a journal.

So some new things of taylor!  first of all.. omg he's one.  i can't believe a year ago i had gone threw the amazing and life changing event of labor.  so many things have gone through my mind this week about that day I can't even express it.

One of the things we've been doing with Taylor has been baby sign language.  I sign a few things to him such as: eat, drink, more and all done that I started doing a few months ago (I only learned a few things honestly).  I've been a little inconsistant with it, only doing it some of the time and Francis has just started to learn, but lately we've been making an effort to do it more because he seems to be listening and understanding a little more and more every day.  And then a few nights ago he told me he wanted more to eat.  I got so  excited and choked up I just started balling. Just wow.  Of course I haven't gotten him to do it since, but I guess that's why the call it "baby steps" right?

SPEAKING OF BABY STEPS.  The little guy has been taking some for the last week.  About a week ago it was just 1 tiny step... and now.....  HE CAN WALK!  ok video coming soon.

IF you haven't been on the phone with us recently, Taylor is jabbering up a storm.  Thing is, he's only got two words in his repertoire,  mamamama! and dadadada!     We only hear mamamama when he's crying, and usually it's not to me but whining and filled with little hiccups and sobs as he mamamama's.  when he's excited, or just talking to himself, he's having some sort of little conversation it's all dadada DAH DAH DAH dah da da     DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Well it's official

Little Taylor man is a crawling fool, zoom zoom he goes on the floor and there's no stopping him. We need some sort of plan now to get him to stay in one area.
