starting to swell

Ok I'm really starting to swell all over.  I'm at my 26 week mark now so I guess that's to be expected.   This morning getting dressed was just like being at the circus.... full of acrobatics that don't seem natural.  First off,  getting into my jeans is getting ridiculous, I can't figure out how to reach down  get my feet in them anymore.  So I have to sit on the bed (while Francis was trying to sleep) and bend and contort in several funny ways making all kinds of stupid grunting noises in order to hook my feet into them and start pulling them up.  Today I managed to do it by bringing my ankles on the bed to the side and getting them on  that way, although I almost fell off the bed while doing this magic trick.   Then when I finally get them up to my hips,  I've got to stand and do a shimmy and shake in order to get them up - ladies... think the pantyhose dance here...  always a good time and always super sexy.  (and by now Francis is peeking at me with one eye and giggling)

And yesterday I finally decided to take off my rings, and put them away.  I can't even begin to say how much this upsets me to not wear them, but my normally slender and tiny digits (size 4) are now pudgy mockeries of what they once were.  I really really hope that goes away.

And finally there's my feet.  I know I've already complained on facebook that I can't wear my favorite flats anymore (the shiny/glittery zebra ones). But now my ankles too are becoming a problem. I noticed Friday afternoon that after I took my socks off I had a dent in my ankles where my socks were, and my whole foot had the pattern of the stitching on it, and above my new sock line I noticed the distinct muffin top look that is OH so awesome.  So this morning, I had completely forgot this new reality, and tried to put my socks on, only to find that they no longer would go over my heel.  So after having a new hissy fit trying to find something that DID fit on my feet, I've decided to take over Francis' socks for the time being......

After a long conversation with the amazingly awesome (and 35 weeks pregnant) Killer Tofu, I learned that this is only the beginning with my feet issues, and I should start soaking my feet now, cuz in the upcoming month it's gonna get hella worse.  YAY!
